Overview

E-visas to visit Primorye territory of the Russian Federation.

From 8 August 2017 nationals of 18 foreign States may be granted an electronic visa (e-visa) to enter the Russian Federation through the border crossing checkpoints, located on the territory of the Far East. An e-visa only allows a single entry (for business, tourism or a humanitarian visit) for a maximum term of 8 days. An e-visa does not allow travel to other regions of Russia.

E-visas to visit Russia’s Kaliningrad Region

From 01 July 2019, electronic visas are introduced for visiting the Kaliningrad Region of Russia. Nationals of 53 foreign States are eligible for an e-visa. These include all EU member states, except the United Kingdom. An e-visa only allows a single entry (for business, tourism or a humanitarian visit) for a maximum term of 8 days. It allows entry into the Kaliningrad Region through border crossing points located in that region, i.e. by direct flight to Kaliningrad (but not via another Russian airport), by sea, railway or road. An e-visa does not allow travel to other regions of Russia.

E-visas to visit Russia’s Saint Petersburg and its Surrounding Region (Leningradskaya Oblast)

From 01 October 2019, electronic visas are introduced for visiting Saint Petersburg and its surrounding region (Leningradskaya Oblast). An e-visa only allows a single entry (for business, tourism or a humanitarian visit) and stay only on the territory of Saint Petersburg and its surrounding region (Leningradskaya Oblast) for a maximum term of 8 days. The list of countries which citizens can apply for electronic visas, as well as border crossings through which foreign citizens can enter the Russian Federation having e-visas, will be approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.

  • E-visas may be obtained online at http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/
  • An e-visa is issued within 4 calendar days, including week-ends and bank holidays.
  • There is no need for any invitations or confirmations. Just fill in the application form on the website.
  • There is no need to waste your free time or working hours to visit the consular agency during its business hours. The website works 24/7.
  • You do not need to pay for anything to obtain an e-visa.

St Petersburg

E-visas for Visiting Russia’s Saint Petersburg and its Surrounding Region (Leningradskaya Oblast)

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 18 July 2019 No. 347, starting from 1 October 2019 electronic visas are introduced for visiting Saint Petersburg and its surrounding region (Leningradskaya Oblast). E-visas may be obtained online at http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/.

An e-visa only allows a single entry (for business, tourism or a humanitarian visit) and stay only on the territory of Saint Petersburg and its surrounding region (Leningradskaya Oblast) for a maximum term of 8 days.

There will be no consular fees for issuing electronic visas.

The list of countries which citizens can apply for electronic visas, as well as border crossings through which foreign citizens can enter the Russian Federation having e-visas, will be approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
